“How will you approach the day? You decide.” -Anonymous
Many Top Agents use social media extremely well. The rest fall into two categories, dabblers (intrigued maybe, but find it to be more of a nuisance), and loathers. For those of you who are interested and want to take full advantage of social media “that means if you’re yet to integrate paid social media into your wider marketing strategy, it’s absolutely time to start. It’ll drive awareness, sales, and leads in a way that organic social simply can’t (at least, not anymore.)” Why Social Media is ‘Pay to Play’ in 2021 (And How to Get the Best Bang for Your Buck) [Neil Patel]
DIGGING YOUR SPHERE?
Research: We’re Losing Touch with Our Networks [Harvard Business Review]. HRB’s “recent research shows that our professional and personal networks have shrunk by close to 16% — or by more than 200 people — during the pandemic. Network shrinkage has some serious downsides.” It may be a good time to make a list of a few people you haven’t contacted in a while and reach out. It may bring some joy into your day.
BUYER TOUCH POINT
I love curating the real estate news for real estate agents. If nothing else I can simply share information as a reminder for something we may not think about every day. Bidding wars are off the charts [CNBC], “A house, unlike expensive jewelry or clothing, can’t be returned if the buyer is unhappy with it, so a cardinal rule of home buying is that you shouldn’t rush into a purchase. But in 2020, millions of Americans did just that.” Like many Americans, Stella Guan from the Los Angeles area rushed into her purchase and now regrets it [Wall Street Journal].
Our days are full of ‘to do’s’. There is a great deal to accomplish. If we love what we do it really does not matter how we approach connection each day. What matters most is that we do our best work to connect as often as possible.
